WTMD General Manager and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake at First Thursdays

Last night, Mt. Vernon Park got a major soaking and a first-time First Thursday visit from Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake. And while Mother Nature didn’t allow The Alternate Routes to finish their set, luck seemed to keep the early evening storms at bay and give Justin Jones and the Driving Rain a full solid set and our guest emcee the chance to bring on the middle act.

Here’s a quick interview with The Mayor.

Sarah Lee Guthrie (Woody’s grandaghter/Arlo’s daughter) and husband Johnn Irion charmed the crowd with their folk/Americana harmonies.

Thanks to everyone who came out and braved the elements! Thanks too the The Alternate Routes who entertained the cozy gathering under the WTMD tent with an impromptu acoustic set.
