Because there just aren’t enough reasons to dress our kids up and go dancing, WTMD’s Saturday Morning Tunes is excited to announce the inaugural Mini Masquerade Ball at the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric, presented by Live Baltimore.
Held in the Lyric’s open, multi-level lobby and concourse (not in the big room with the fixed seating), the Mini Masquerade Ball is everything we love about parties, just for us parents and our little ones!
It starts at 10 a.m. and ends at noon, so we can all be home in time for naps. And we’re packing lots of fun into those two hours.
**This is a fundraiser, to help support children’s programming on WTMD.**
Tickets and more information are available here.
We’ll have one of the best party bands in town, the Bachelor Boys Band, playing all of our favorite kid-appropriate dance songs. The Lohr Family Follies will be performing their stage show, and Bmore HoopLove will present a hula-hooping stilt walker, a juggling uni-cyclist and interactive hula-hoopers. Plus: arts and crafts, a masquerade-themed photo booth from Baltimore Photo Social (with lots of props) and more!
Dresses, button-down shirts and ties are strongly encouraged. Bring your own masks, or make one here at our arts and crafts tables. The more colorful, the better!
If your little one doesn’t like wearing masks, our expert face painter could apply one that lasts a bit longer.
We’ll have crust-less Sun Butter and marshmallow sandwiches and other fancy finger foods – and drinks, including a sparkling cider toast at 11 a.m. (They’re all included in the ticket price.)
Oh, and for the adults? Coffee. Lots of coffee — and snacks (included in the ticket price). Also: some slightly stronger beverages as well (these, however, are priced separately).
We all know how cute our kids can be when they’re dressed up and dancing. Let’s party, and help support more children’s programming on WTMD!
Be sure to get your tickets in advance, and we’ll see you Saturday May 5 at the Lyric!
