On Wednesday, May 8, WTMD and the non-profit Arts Every Day are partnering to present the 2019 Music Ed Remix, which brings together Baltimore musicians with instrumental and vocal music education programs in Baltimore City Public Schools to create unique arrangements over the course of a year-long collaboration.
Three schools teamed up with three local music groups to collaborate and compose original works with students. City Neighbors High School will be performing with J Pope and the HearNow, Western High School shares the stage with Rufus Roundtree and Clarence Ward III, and Thomas Jefferson Elementary Middle partners with the Baltimore Boom Bap Society. And the Baltimore vocal artist Shodekeh will host.
The show is free and open to the public, and will be broadcast live on air.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the music starts at 7 p.m. at 1 Olympic Place in Towson.
